When the original home was built nearly a century ago, its interiors were finished with a level of craft that few modern projects attempt. We studied the existing mantle relief decoration and designed a mosaic floor that echoes its vocabulary — not a replica, but a historically informed composition that speaks the same language.

In a home of this provenance, the mosaic had to feel inevitable, as if it had been waiting there since 1926.
