Arlington, Texas
Our client wanted a tribute to Wright, and we built one — in collaboration with industry legend Randy Angell, who designed a bespoke railing and numerous site-specific details, and veteran builder Westside Watershapes.
Wright pioneered organic architecture, an ethos carried forward by his protégé John Lautner, whose celebrated knife-edge detail now appears in many high-end aquatic projects. Honoring that lineage required more than a pattern — it demanded a philosophy. We selected color tones to root the mosaic in the surrounding Texas landscape, ensuring a seamless dialogue between built and natural environments.
The installation was among our most demanding: much of the mosaic was crafted and set on-site by our artisans, adapting in real time to the architecture's complex geometries. The result is a pool that Wright himself might have recognized — organic, grounded, and entirely singular.
